Buying a water filter together with your street or VvE
A water filter collective is one shared buying moment: your VvE (the Dutch homeowners association), residents committee, street or holiday park pools the demand, and the more homes that join, the lower the price for everyone.
What you buy together is a single product: the PureFilter Mineral+ water filter, an under-sink filter that every resident connects to the cold water line themselves. Tested by Equinox Labs, an independent laboratory (2026).
What exactly is a water filter collective?
What one household buys simply costs more than what twenty households buy at once. We hand that difference back to the group. A collective is therefore not a webshop with a discount code, but one shared buying moment with a closing date. Until that date anyone can join, and the final count determines what it costs for everyone.
We set collectives up, not the participants themselves. That way we know there is a real group behind it and that the invitations reach the right residents. Taking part stays per household: every resident orders, pays and decides for themselves.

The worked example below is for illustration only. We set the tiers per collective, matched to the number of homes. Sometimes we agree a single fixed project price instead.

ExampleOn the page of the collective, residents can see how many neighbours have already joined and which discount applies at that moment. A replacement filter costs €65.00 per cartridge and lasts up to 12 months for 1 to 3 people, up to 6 months for 4 or more.

Frequently asked questions about a water filter collective
What does it cost the VvE or the association?
Nothing. Setting up a collective costs the VvE, the residents committee or the park management no money. We create the collective and take care of the invitation. Every resident then orders and pays for themselves.
Are you tied to anything as a resident?
No. Taking part is per household and voluntary. You only order when you want to, and you keep the usual terms: 40 days to try at home, money back if you are not happy, and 5 years warranty on the filter housing.
How many homes need to take part?
We agree that per collective, because it depends on the size of the VvE, the street or the park. The principle is always the same: the more homes that join, the higher the discount, and the final count on the closing date applies to all participants.
Who connects the water filter?
You do that yourself. You connect the PureFilter Mineral+ to the cold water line under your sink in about 10 minutes. You need one pair of water pump pliers and a 3/8 connection is supplied as standard. The step-by-step installation guide shows exactly how to do it.
Does the filter work with a Quooker as well?
Yes. You fit the filter before the Quooker system on the cold water supply. That way you keep both filtered tap water and the boiling water function. You can read what that looks like in practice on the page about a water filter alongside a Quooker.
What happens after the closing date?
The final count is then fixed and every participant knows which price goes with it. Residents who come forward later can still order in the webshop at the normal price of €149.00 including the first filter.
